Dragonfly Energy is excited to announce two new 12V lithium batteries: The DF8D and the DFGC3.

Both products are 12V, 270 Ah, deep cycle lithium batteries that contain our safe and reliable lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry. The DF8D and DFGC3 come in different physical dimensions, allowing outdoor enthusiasts the flexibility to store power where they need it.

The New 12V Lithium DFGC3 Battery

Though the DFGC3H, or “The GameChanger 3,” has been available to original equipment manufacturers for a year, we have increased the capacity from 250 Ah to 270 Ah, giving your buyers even more power! It’s a 12V lithium battery that packs a lot of power.

Today, we are releasing a non-heated version, the DFGC3, allowing you to choose between heated and non-heated varieties, so you can tailor your customers’ battery systems for whatever environment they operate in.

The DFGC3 looks like no other battery on the market, designed to be as compact as possible. This 12V lithium battery is 22.83-inches long, 7.09-inches wide, and 13.15-inches tall. And it weighs only 75 lbs. With its space-conscious construction, this featherweight battery can truly be placed anywhere in a customer’s system.

Thanks to the DFGC3’s non-toxic LiFePO4 chemistry, it can be mounted in any orientation without leaking caustic liquids or hazardous gas. This versatility allows consumers to store battery banks in tight spaces without ventilation, or under their bed and sleep without worry. Right side up or upside down, your customers will be able to store power in places they never thought possible.

The New 12V Lithium DF8D Battery

For those looking to replace their 8D lead-acid batteries with lithium, the DF8D will fit their needs perfectly.

The DF8D has all the great features of the DFGC3, but with a drop-in form factor designed to be an easy replacement for other 8D model batteries. This 12V lithium battery is 21.29-inches long, 11.59-inches wide and 10.01-inches tall. The DF8D also weighs 75 lbs., making it at least 50 lbs. lighter than competing lead-acid 8D batteries.

The DF8D is perfect for large marine vessels and off-grid applications. Our batteries are sealed and water resistant, though they should not be submerged in water like any other battery. The battery can also operate in temperatures from -4°F (-20°C) to 135°F (57.2°C).

New Batteries, Same Amazing Dragonfly Technology

Our 12V deep cycle lithium batteries can discharge 100% of their stored energy without damaging themselves, and they charge five times faster than lead-acid batteries. Each battery is rated to have a lifetime of 3,000 to 5,000 cycles and built to last 10 to 15 years. They are also backed by our industry leading 5-year warranty.

All our batteries come standard with an internal Battery Management System (BMS). These built-in systems extend battery longevity, improves performance and makes our chemically stable batteries even safer. The BMS features high and low voltage disconnect functions. It also preventing high temperature charging and discharging and low temperature charging, protecting these 12V lithium batteries. At the top of every charge, the BMS passively balances each energy cell, ensuring Dragonfly batteries perform better for longer.

Our batteries combine safe and energy efficient LiFePO4 chemistry with a smart Battery Management System and industry leading customer support and protection. Whether they’re off the grid or on the water, Dragonfly customers can be confident that they have the power they need, for as long as they need it.
