Sparks, Nevada (March 1, 2021) – The Dragonfly Energy team is excited to introduce two new battery models for its consumer line, Battle Born Batteries: the BB8D and the BBGC3. They are both 12V 270 Ah deep cycle batteries with different form factors that use the same reliable LiFePO4 technology as our other batteries.
The BB8D is modeled after a standard 8D battery, but it houses Battle Born Batteries’s cutting-edge lithium-ion architecture. The BB8D weighs 75 pounds and is 21.29 inches L x 11.59 inches W x 10.01 inches H. This 12V, 270 Ah battery is capable of 300 amps continuous with a 500 amp surge for 30 seconds. The BB8D is perfect for marine based applications or for those looking to power large off-grid applications.
The BBGC3 is unlike any other battery on the market today. With its unique form factor, the BBGC3 is 22.83 inches L x 7.09 inches W x 13.15 inches H and weighs 75 pounds. This battery has unlimited mounting possibilities, making it the ideal battery for any application.
These batteries are capable of being discharged to 100 percent of their rated capacity every time and they can be charged five times faster than the standard lead-acid battery. Both batteries are perfect for consumers looking to get the most out of their rigs, whether it’s a large RV or an isolated, energy independent cabin. Battle Born batteries allow customers greater flexibility for what they can power and how they install their battery systems, providing a level of energy independence that other batteries cannot offer. Built to last 10 to 15 years and backed by an industry leading 10-year warranty, Battle Born Batteries is making battery anxiety a thing of the past. The BB8D will be made available to consumers starting at $2,800. The BBGC3 will start at $2,900. Battle Born Batteries now offers payment plans through Affirm to help customers get out there and stay out there.
Dragonfly Energy will also be adding the DF8D to its lineup as well. Last year Dragonfly Energy launched the GC3 as a 250 Ah battery, it will now be offered as a 270 Ah. In addition, the GC3H model will be available for those looking for a heated battery option. Dragonfly Energy batteries are only available to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). These batteries will launch on March 1, 2021 at 9 a.m. PST.
