Dr. Denis Phares
President & Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Denis Phares leads with a passion for making the planet more sustainable. As the President and Chief Executive Officer of Dragonfly Energy Corp., he focuses on developing revolutionary technologies that will change the way we store and harness renewable energy. As a visionary leader, Phares has helped grow Dragonfly Energy and its brand, Battle Born Batteries, into one of the leading Li-Ion products on the market while also leading a world class R&D team in the advancement of groundbreaking technologies and manufacturing processes.

After establishing himself as a tenured professor of Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southern California, Phares left academia to found Dragonfly Energy in 2012. With three decades of extensive experience in the fields of Energy, Nanotechnology, Fluid Mechanics, and Powder Processing, Phares has positioned himself as a leading expert in Green Energy Storage and has spent the last 15 years focused on advancing lithium-ion battery technology. He holds a number of patents, some of which are key in fundamental battery cell manufacturing.

Phares received a B.S. in Physics from Villanova University, an M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering Science from California Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Wade Seaburg
Chief Revenue Officer

As the Chief Revenue Officer, Wade Seaburg leads Dragonfly Energy’s sales, business development and revenue growth & diversification efforts. Wade’s career and long-term success in business progression and B2B sales originated from his education at Purdue University where he earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and then through Eaton Corporation (ETN) where Seaburg completed their distinguished Technical Sales Training Program. Following 12 years as a Senior Account Representative within the WESCO (WCC) Distribution Manufactured Structures Division, Wade began his 5-year career as Founder and President at Structure Sales, a company focused on representing industry-leading suppliers to OEMs in the RV and Marine markets.

Working as both a lead and co-inventor, Wade acquired three patents with the company. Wade began contract work with Dragonfly Energy in 2018 prior to fully joining the company as a Director of Outside Sales and Business Development in 2021, and now serving as Chief Revenue Officer of the company. During his time with Dragonfly Energy, Seaburg has helped grow the company’s OEM business and relationships exponentially, including being instrumental in successfully getting the company recognized as a “Five Rivet Supplier” with the iconic brand – Airstream RV. His work and strong B2B relationships also propelled the growth of the partnership between Dragonfly Energy and Keystone RV—where the two companies transformed the way an entire industry looked at battery power for RVs.

Wade continues to prove Dragonfly’s ability to successfully serve high-volume OEM in various markets. Seaburg’s diverse skillset has led him to continually gain clear understanding of needs across industries and then to reach productive resolutions for all parties involved, including valued customers and stakeholders. As a valued leader, Wade has built a talented and experienced team around him at Dragonfly Energy as he continues to develop integral business relationships and new opportunities.

Tyler Bourns
Chief Marketing Officer

Chief Marketing Officer, Tyler Bourns, leads the creative charge at Dragonfly Energy. With over 15 years spent producing story-rich, award-winning content for global brands, Tyler has received much recognition throughout his career. Today, he draws on his deep reserves of hands-on knowledge to push the envelope of strategic marketing at Dragonfly Energy. Tyler’s segue into full-time marketing is preceded by outstanding work in content creation with a strong focus on powerful storytelling and authenticity. His experience in video production and marketing extends over 12 years with the ownership and operation of the successful and award-winning video production company Bourns Productions Inc.

In 2018 he was awarded the AAF Reno Ad Person of the Year alongside the region’s most respected advertising leaders. A three-time Emmy Award Winner, he has produced and filmed thought-leading content for Panasonic, GE Energy and Terrasmart, among many others. Tyler is no stranger to an international audience; he went on to produce an extensive library of video and photo content for the legendary rock band Whitesnake. In addition, he produced, wrote and directed an internationally distributed feature film, “Desert Shadows,” starring Mitch Pillegi (X-Files, Sons of Anarchy) and produced several worldwide acclaimed short films, two of which screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. His role as Director of Photography on many of these film projects has helped develop his bold and thorough eye for big ideas and strong narratives. Community service has always been important to Tyler. He served on the Under30CEO Board of Directors in Reno for two years, encouraging, collaborating and training young business leaders in the community.

Tyler has also served on the Board of Directors for the Cordillera International Film Festival since its inception in 2018. This festival secured its status as a FilmFreeway Top 100 Film Festival, a rare achievement for a festival less than five years old at the time. For over 6 years, through his video production company, Bourns Productions, Tyler helped Dragonfly Energy’s Battle Born Batteries brand grow to be one of the most respected and popular Deep Cycle Lithium-ion products on the market today. In 2021, Tyler joined Dragonfly Energy full time. Drawing on his hard-earned wealth of on-the-ground insight in production, Tyler strives to apply the same narrative-driven approach to marketing that brought him both recognition and fulfillment in the world of content creation. Steered by a strategy of creative authenticity, he brings a dynamic, experience-informed leadership style to Dragonfly Energy.

Dr Vick Singh
Senior Vice President of Technology

As an accomplished energy technology professional, Dr. Vickram Singh has over 10 years of experience in various research functions within private and public sector firms. As the Senior Vice President of Technology and prior Director of Research & Development at Dragonfly Energy Corporation, he has been instrumental in overseeing the development of next-generation lithium-ion batteries and manufacturing processes and optimizing all-solid-state battery chemistries for deep-cycle applications. His expertise in chemical engineering and materials science has enabled him to build a dedicated and highly advanced Research & Development team from the ground up and manage a team of scientists and engineers across various disciplines.

Before joining Dragonfly Energy Corporation, Dr. Vick Singh was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s Center for Global Security Research. His research focused on international nuclear energy development and its impact on nonproliferation policy. His work has been published and presented in multiple scientific reports on electrochemical techniques and their measurement uncertainties. Dr. Singh also served as a Nuclear Regulatory Commission Fellow during his Ph.D. studies at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Dr. Singh’s academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno. He investigated the deployment of electroanalytical and spectroscopic techniques for nuclear material monitoring in molten salt systems utilized in the domestic nuclear weapons complex and Generation IV nuclear fuel cycles. He also holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

With his proven track record of scientific ingenuity, project management, and leadership, Dr. Vick Singh is well-positioned to continue driving innovation at Dragonfly Energy.

George Lopes
Director of Human Resources

As the Director of Human Resources, George Lopes is committed to fostering a thriving, inclusive workplace where every individual feels valued and empowered to succeed. Specializing in strategic talent acquisition, employee development, and the creation of robust HR policies and programs that align with organizational objectives, his passion is rooted in cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and fostering strong employee engagement.

George graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2009, and prior to his career with Dragonfly Energy, he held various senior leadership roles within Walmart Supply Chain. With over 15 years of experience in Supply Chain and Logistics management and a decade of expertise in Human Resources leadership, he brings a unique blend of strategic insight and operational excellence to the table. With a background in supply chain management, George brings a holistic understanding of organizational dynamics, enabling him to develop tailored HR solutions that drive efficiency, productivity, and employee satisfaction.

Dominic Sinnott
General Counsel

Dominic Sinnott serves as General Counsel for Dragonfly Energy, assuming responsibility for all internal legal matters within the corporation. Bringing a comprehensive background in law, he manages external legal representation and oversees the organization’s local, federal, and international governmental affairs. His oversight ensures regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and adept navigation of legal frameworks essential to the operations of the company.

As a native Nevadan, Dominic grew up in Carson City. He attended the University of Nevada, Reno where he received his undergraduate degree before obtaining a J.D. and L.L.M. in Environmental Law from Golden Gate University Law School in San Francisco. Upon returning to his home state, Dominic served as a Deputy District Attorney at the Lyon County District Attorney’s Office and then as a Deputy Alternate Public Defender in Washoe County. Over the past 15 years, he has worked in various areas of law from civil litigation to criminal prosecution, participating in multiple jury trials and court proceedings. In 2022, he argued an issue of constitutional import in front of the Nevada Supreme Court.

Dominic’s board experience is extensive, with notable service to several organizations including four years at the Reno Bike Project and six years at Step 1, Inc. During his time, he assumed the role of Secretary for both organizations. Currently, Dominic serves as the Treasurer for the Nevada Battery Coalition and as the Secretary for Dragonfly Energy Holdings Corp.

Jay Bellows
Nominating Committee Member

As an executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in the professional world, Jay Bellows has a full spectrum of technology knowledge and leadership expertise in areas of power, systems integration, telecom, data centers, software, networking, and project management. Jay has helped sustain and build several companies’ bottom lines with proper direction and an ability to identify and instill necessary change. He has a very strong history of supplying proper direction to developing companies while helping them grow and realize their potential. 

Jay Bellows is the current President of KORE Power. Prior to this, they held various leadership positions at companies such as Northern Reliability, University of Vermont Medical Center, and Sovernet Communications.

Dr. Karina Edmonds
Nominating & Governance Committee Chair

Karina Montilla Edmonds is a globally recognized visionary leader in the field of innovation, technology transfer, and commercialization. She is a strategic thinker and strong problem solver adept at building partnerships and influencing key stakeholders. Her strong interpersonal skills emphasize her ability to lead with empathy and trust. She has decades of experience working with the private sector, universities, and national laboratories across the country. 

Dr. Edmonds currently serves as the SVP and Global Head of Academies and University Alliances at SAP. In this role, she is leading university partnerships that inspire, expose and educate students through engaging SAP curriculum. She also oversees the Sales and Engineering Academies which develop early talent and emerging leaders to build the best sales and engineering talent in the world. Prior to joining SAP, Edmonds was the Global Lead for Cloud AI at Google in Sunnyvale, California. At Google, her primary role was to facilitate research collaborations in AI between Google Cloud and top academic researchers. Edmonds joined Google Cloud from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) where she served as the Executive Director for Corporate Partnerships. At Caltech, she was responsible for implementing and managing an integrated strategy with the private sector and major federal funding agencies across numerous research areas. Edmonds was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Energy as the first full-time Technology Transfer Coordinator for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in April 2010. In that role, Edmonds was responsible for working with the DOE’s national laboratories to accelerate the advancement of discoveries from the laboratory to the marketplace. She has also held positions at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and TRW, Inc. (now Northrop Grumman). 

Edmonds has co-authored two patent applications in the area of noise reduction for the automotive environment. As a Principal Research Scientist, her research at Northrop Grumman was in support of speech recognition for mobile applications. Edmonds has been a long-standing advocate for the promotion of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers, especially for underrepresented students and women. She is a product of a STEM program herself and continues to serve as a role model and mentor to students across the country. She has been a keynote speaker, panelist, and awardee at innovation, clean energy, and STEM events across the country and has received numerous national recognition and awards. She has served as a member of the White House Speaker Bureau that promotes STEM careers to women and girls. Her advocacy for STEM spans several decades, including her role as a founding member and volunteer for Science is Fun Inc. (SIFI) while still an undergraduate at the University of Rhode Island (URI). 

She frequently speaks at industry engagements and currently serves on the boards for the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics at the University of California, Los Angeles and was confirmed by the Rhode Island State Senate to the inaugural Board of Trustees for the University of RI in March 2020. Edmonds previously served on the boards of the URI Foundation, Caltech Alumni Foundation and ConnectEd California. She received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from URI, where she was inducted into its Engineering Hall of Fame in 2011 and was named a Distinguished Alumna in 2013. She holds an MS and PhD in Aeronautics with a minor in Materials Science from Caltech in Pasadena. She lives in Southern California with her three daughters all of which continue to show a strong interest in STEM.

Perry Boyle
Audit Committee Member

Mr. Boyle’s experiences range from the analytical to the managerial and entrepreneurial. He co-founded an investment bank and provided insightful research on a variety of industries, as well as possesses an extensive experience in building and leading large high-performance teams, on a global basis. As a private investor, Mr. Boyle has holdings in several environmental remediation and beverage companies, as well as in middle income housing. 

After a 35-year career at leading investment banks and asset management companies, Mr. Boyle has pivoted to public service; he serves as Chairman of The BOMA Project, a poverty graduation program for women in East Africa, based in Washington, DC and Nairobi. Mr. Boyle is a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), and a Director of The US Friends of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS). He was a 2018 and 2019 delegate from the IISS to the Shangri-La Dialogue and to the Manama Dialogue in 2019 and 2020. 

Mr. Boyle received a M.A. in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. He holds an A.B. in Economics from Stanford University, an M.B.A. from Dartmouth College. He has lectured on investing and ethics at Brown, Yale, Dartmouth, Harvard, and Cambridge.

Luisa Ingargiola
Lead Independent Director, Audit Committee Chair, Compensation Committee Member

Luisa Ingargiola serves as Chief Financial Officer of Avalon GloboCare, a leading cell therapy biotech company. Since 2007, Ms. Ingargiola has served as the Chief Financial Officer or Audit Chair of multiple NASDAQ and NYSE Companies. She is currently on the Board of several public companies with a cleantech focus and specializes in corporate governance, merger and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and the structuring of various types of debt and equity financing. 

Ms. Ingargiola graduated from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. She received her MBA in Health Administration from the University of South Florida.

Brian Nelson
Compensation Committee Chair, Nominating Committee Member

Brian Nelson was hired in the sales department of Lapmaster International, LLC in 1996; in 2002, he purchased the company and has served as its President and CEO since that time. Mr. Nelson has developed Lapmaster into an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of precision machinery which includes lapping, polishing, grinding, and honing technologies, as well as critical spare parts and consumables to keep machines in operation. Under Mr. Nelson’s leadership, Lapmaster serves over 4,000 US-based customers, including those in critical sectors such as medical, food processing, defense, chemical, energy, transportation and telecommunications.

Mr. Nelson earned a B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Marquette University in 1993, and an MBA from DePaul University – Charles H. Kellstadt School of Business in 2000. He is a member of the Association of Manufacturing Technology.

Rick Parod
Audit Committee Member, Compensation Committee Member

Mr. Parod was the President and Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the Lindsay Corporation (“Lindsay”) from April 2000 until his retirement on December 1, 2017. Prior to Lindsay, Mr. Parod served as the Vice President and General Manager of the Toro Company’s Irrigation Division from 1997 to 2000. 

As of January 1, 2022, he became CEO of AdeptAg, a newly formed roll-up company in controlled-environment agriculture. In his role as President and CEO with Lindsay, a global manufacturer of agricultural and infrastructure equipment, Mr. Parod gained valuable executive leadership experience and he brings meaningful expertise in many areas, including manufacturing operations, product development, sales and marketing, strategic planning, accounting, and corporate governance.
