Mike Cortez

Mike is a numbers guy. As the Finance Manager at Battle Born Batteries, Mike deals with a lot of numbers in accounting, budgeting, sales, orders, payments, pricing, inventory, and more. If it can be measured, added, subtracted, or modeled – especially in a spreadsheet – Mike’s your guy.
With a background in business administration and finance, Mike brings experience and ambition to his position at Battle Born Batteries/Dragonfly Energy. He plays a central role in advancing our enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools. He handles order reconciliation, financial modeling, variable cost management, and financial tax document preparations.
When he’s not calculating or forecasting, Mike enjoys working out and spending time with his Newfoundland/Poodle mix. He has owned 35 motorcycles and put over 65,000 miles on his Tesla. He is a huge fan of electric cars, off-grid living, and self-sustainability, and has plans for building his own off-grid dwelling one day.
