Why did you choose lithium?
With extensive backgrounds in the energy storage sector, our founders shared a mutual frustration with the industry’s research and technology. The antiquated technology behind lead-acid batteries hasn’t made any groundbreaking advancements since the technology was first developed— which is why lithium and its ever-evolving processes are gaining in popularity.
What is Solid State?
All Solid State Batteries, or ASSB, are batteries that contain a solid electrolyte, instead of a liquid electrolyte. ASSBs are lighter, smaller, completely non-flammable, and potentially cheaper. “Potentially” is an important caveat here, because nobody seems to focus on the actual mass production of these types of cells – which is critical to the final cost to consumers.
